McGraw-Hill implements HighWire's latest hosting and access management technology

Scholarly publishing tech provider HighWire has announced that McGraw-Hill has implemented HighWire's latest hosting and access management technology. McGraw-Hill's AccessEngineering is a flagship engineering resource for students, faculty and professionals and has used HighWire solutions since 2011. The site offers 700 books plus a mix of other non-standard content such as videos, spreadsheets and tutorials, which HighWire is perfectly placed to handle.

British Pharmacological Society appoints Dr Serge Cremers as new Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology

The British Pharmacological Society has appointed Dr Serge Cremers as the new Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology. Dr. Cremers is Director of Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology Laboratory and Co-Director of the Translational Therapeutics Accelerator (TRx) at Columbia's Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research.

Dimensions now available to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology

Digital Science has announced a collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology that will provide campus-wide access to the next evolution in linked scholarly information, Dimensions. With the Dimensions implementation, the university will support its researchers and academic management by providing a broader picture of the work they're doing, a platform to explore the influence of past collaborations and an effective way to measure the real-world impact their research has made.

Jisc and Sigfox seek partners to show how connecting small things makes a big difference

WND UK, which operates Sigfox's low power wide area network (LPWAN) technology in the UK and Latin America, is collaborating with Jisc to enable universities and colleges to run IoT technology on a dedicated network with low set-up costs. WND UK is seeking universities and colleges across the UK to partner with Sigfox by agreeing to install base stations on their campus. It has offered to provide free kit to interested institutions.
