cOAlition S releases revised guidance on Plan S implementation following public feedback exercise

cOAlition S has released revised guidance on Plan S implementation which has been approved by all coalition members. Since its launch in September 2018, Plan S has reinvigorated the global debate on Open Access to scholarly publications. cOAlition S' recent feedback exercise was the largest ever international consultation that has been conducted on an Open Access policy. The 600 plus inputs received allowed the coalition to make changes that take into consideration the views expressed by the diverse communities affected.

One-third of Cambridge University Press's journals will now require researchers to register with ORCID

Academic publisher Cambridge University Press will now make ORCID identifiers (iDs) a requirement for 127 of its journals, in order to better link researchers with their work. ORCID is a not-for-profit organisation that provides researchers with unique, persistent digital identifiers that they can use in linking their activities across the research ecosystem. The Press is the latest publisher to add its name to an open letter committing it to require ORCID iDs from its corresponding journal authors and calling for others to follow its example.

Standards Australia partners with Techstreet to deliver greater access and choice for users of Australian Standards

Standards Australia has entered into a new distribution agreement with Techstreet, a Clarivate Analytics company, to deliver greater access to content supporting innovation, safety and compliance in industries and communities across Australia. Under the new agreement, Techstreet will become an additional distributor of Standard Australia's content, including Australian Standards® and other technical documents such as ISO and IEC materials.
