PLOS One's Joerg Heber to address OA publishing PLOS One has announced that its editor-in-chief Joerg Heber will address, 'Advancing Open Science at PLOS One' followed by a panel discussion in the Leo and Dottie Kolligian Library, Room 360, on April 29, from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The event will be streamed live via Zoom for those who wish to watch remotely in real-time. Mellon Foundation New York University has received a grant of $527,000 from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation for a project to help ensure the preservation of complex new forms of digital scholarship. In the collaborative project, 'Enhancing Services to Preserve New Forms of Scholarship,' participating preservation service organisations will test the limits of their capabilities, using their existing tools or drawing on partnerships to preserve a series of increasingly complex works from participating scholarly publishers. Maud Ruget and Wilson de Souza Paiao have joined the Berlin-based team and a fulltime sales position in North America has been added to help expand KU's worldwide activities. In addition, a generational change in the advisory bodies is taking place, as well as changes reflecting the rapidly growing internationalisation of KU's activities.
