Through WSU's digital textbook program, all 10,000 first-year students at the university's 10 teaching campuses located across the Western Sydney region in Australia will gain access to textbooks through Ebook Central, ProQuest's ebook platform. The white paper, circulated for public comment in fall 2018, contains examples of Wikidata applications, screenshots, and recommendations for involvement on an individual or organisational level. Smith succeeds Steve Cohn, who is retiring at the end of June. Cohn has been at Duke University Press since 1984, and has served as director since 1993. Smith will start in his new position beginning July 1.
