American Chemical Society and Max Planck institutes announce collaborative open access strategic partnership

The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the Max Planck Gesellschaft (MPG) have announced a collaborative open access strategic partnership that will advance shared goals for open science and enhance convenience for the MPG researcher and author community. Effective from the outset of 2019, the four-year transformative agreement provides researchers affiliated with Max Planck institutes the opportunity to disseminate immediately, under an open access license, 100 percent of their research articles upon acceptance and publication by a peer-reviewed ACS journal.

IOP Publishing unveils new journal - Engineering Research Express

IOP Publishing has introduced Engineering Research Express (ERX) as a new addition to its journal portfolio. ERX will publish experimental and theoretical research covering topics extending across all areas of engineering science, including interdisciplinary fields. The journal will be led by founding Editor-in-Chief Dr Jingyan Dong from the North Carolina State University, USA.

Cell Press and Cell Signaling Technology launch new educational resource - Cell Mentor

Cell Press, a publisher of over 40 primary research and review journals, and Cell Signaling Technology (CST), a provider of antibodies, kits, and services, have announced a new educational resource that will make it easier for biology students and researchers to navigate their careers, get published, and strengthen their laboratory skills to enable experimental success. The new resource is entitled Cell MentorTM.

EBSCO Information Services now offers database with critical reviews of digital resources via ccAdvisor

ccAdvisor, an online review source of information databases and digital resources, is now available from EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO). ccAdvisor provides in-depth, critical reviews of digital resources for the academic and library markets. The resource is a collaboration between two review sources, Choice and Charleston Advisor.
