Clarivate Analytics collaborates with Caltech to offer researchers one-click access to published research

Clarivate Analytics has announced a collaboration with Caltech that will work towards providing more than two thousand of its researchers with legitimate one-click access to millions of academic papers and journal articles via Kopernio's technology. This partnership aims to optimise information tools that will enable Caltech researchers to better search, discover, access and evaluate high-quality research available via the Web of Science and third-party platforms.

New Springer Nature report shows value of hybrid journals to research community and beyond

A report from Springer Nature shows that OA articles published in hybrid journals attract more downloads, citations, and attention compared with non-OA articles in hybrid journals. The findings of the report, 'Assessing the open access effect for hybrid journals,' demonstrate this wider value which hybrid journals bring to researchers and to funders, institutions and society more broadly.

IET announces increases in impact factors across journal portfolio for second consecutive year

Journals from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) have achieved significant increases in their impact factor ratings for the second year in a row, with seven journals seeing a rise of over 30%. In addition, IET Control Theory & Applications and IET Renewable Power Generation are now in the top quartile of their respective categories.

Frontiers in Physics launches new section on Soft Matter Physics

Frontiers in Physics has announced the launch of a new section, Soft Matter Physics, led by Professor Jasper Van Der Gucht of Wageningen University & Research. Soft Matter Physics deals with a wide range of physical systems such as polymers, gels and colloids.
