Nature Index 2018 Annual Tables released, competition heats up in the world of high-quality scientific research

The Nature Index 2018 Annual Tables has been released, and the United States is the world's largest contributor to high-quality scientific research papers, followed by China and Germany. These tables track by country and institution the research published in 82 high-quality journals each year, counting both the total number of papers and the share of authorship of each paper.

Frontline Gastroenterology journal appoints Prof. Mark Beattie as the new Editor-in-Chief

OpenAthens joins Publishers Association and ALPSP

OpenAthens, which provides federated identity and access management services to a global client base, has announced its formal affiliation to the Publishers Association (PA) and membership of the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP). Through its membership with the PA and ALPSP, OpenAthens hopes to be able to work with members on issues such as piracy and improving users' online experience.
