South Korea has increased its number of Highly Cited Researchers by 60% since 2014 |
Clarivate Analytics, a leader in providing trusted insights and analytics to enable researchers to accelerate discovery, has released its annual Highly Cited Researchers (HCRs) list. The citation analysis identifies an elite corps of scientists. ACM to publish new journal - ACM Digital Threats: Research and Practice |
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the world's largest computing society, has announced the forthcoming publication of ACM Digital Threats: Research and Practice (DTRAP), a new peer-reviewed journal that targets the prevention, identification, mitigation and elimination of digital threats. DTRAP aims to promote the development of scientific rigour in digital security by bridging the gap between academic research and industry practice. ACMG appoints Robert D. Steiner as Editor in Chief of Genetics in Medicine |
The American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) has appointed Robert D. Steiner as editor in chief of its peer-reviewed journal, Genetics in Medicine. Steiner will succeed James P. Evans, who will retire at the end of 2018. Steiner has been the Deputy Editor of GIM since 2011 and a section editor since 2006. More

Preservica, Arkivum, the Open Preservation Foundation and Artefactual collaborate on new Jisc initiative |
In a new initiative supported by Jisc, Preservica, Arkivum, the Open Preservation Foundation and Artefactual will work together to deliver a proof-of-concept Preservation Action Registry (PAR) to exchange preservation action best practice within the preservation community and between different preservation systems. This exchange of preservation knowledge and its practical implementation has the potential to vastly accelerate the pace of digital preservation research and the deployment of best practice to live systems. DynaMed Plus now available for all UC campuses |
The California Digital Library (CDL) has announced that all the UC campuses and selected medical sites now have access to DynaMed Plus through a 2 year UC-wide pilot paid for by the UC Medical Centers and selected campuses. Some campuses have had access via local subscriptions to DynaMed. CDL was able to negotiate a favourable DynaMed Plus pilot price, assuming cancellations of existing UC subscriptions at the end of the current subscription terms. More
