Springer and Italian Society of Endocrinology announce five-year collaboration to publish Journal of Endocrinological Investigation

STM publisher Springer and the Italian Society of Endocrinology (Società Italiana di Endocrinologia/SIE) have agreed to a five-year collaboration to publish the monthly Journal of Endocrinological Investigation, starting in January 2014 with Volume 37. Available exclusively in electronic format on SpringerLink, the journal is the official journal of the society.

Wolters Kluwer Health expands Lippincott's Nursing Procedures and Skills to include broad range of hospital-based clinicians

Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health has expanded use of Lippincott's Nursing Procedures and Skills to include a broad range of hospital-based clinicians including nurses, respiratory therapists and others. These expanded capabilities can help hospitals better support interdisciplinary collaboration. The product - the leading online procedures solution for clinicians at the bedside - has also been renamed "Lippincott Procedures," a move that reflects an already growing use among non-nursing clinicians.

Two EBSCO Health point-of-care clinical reference tools rated highest in their categories

Two EBSCO Health point-of-care clinical reference tools have been rated highest in their categories by healthcare providers according to a new report on clinical decision support resources. In the report produced by KLAS, a research firm that specialises in monitoring and reporting the performance of healthcare vendors, DynaMed, had the highest overall performance in the disease reference product category and Nursing Reference Center (NRC) had the highest overall performance in the nurse reference category.

CCC and ALPSP partner to launch new OA Resource Center

Global licensing and content solutions provider Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC) has launched an Open Access Resource Center in partnership with the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP). The resource center includes links to the latest open access news, reports, whitepapers, webinars and websites. Users can complete the feedback survey to add suggestions for what they would like to see included going forward.

Design Science's MathFlow adds Adobe FrameMaker support

Enterprise software vendor Design Science, Inc. has announced that MathFlow, its MathML-based authoring, editing and formatting tools have been built into Adobe's FrameMaker 12, Technical Communication Suite 5 and their new FrameMaker XML Author 12 products. Adobe customers will now be able to work with mathematical content as MathML in their XML documents and workflows.

Four new publishers to participate in CLOCKSS digital preservation archive

The CLOCKSS Archive has announced the participation of the Archaeological Institute of America, the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery, UTS ePress, and Wageningen Academic Publishers. The CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) Archive is a not-for-profit joint venture between the world's leading scholarly publishers and research libraries whose mission is to build a sustainable, geographically distributed dark archive.

De Gruyter to co-publish The American Mineralogist and Reviews in Mineralogy and Geochemistry

Academic publishing house De Gruyter has announced that it has been selected by the Mineralogical Society of America (MSA) as its partner for publishing and distributing the premiere journal publication, The American Mineralogist, starting January 2014, as well as the book series, Reviews in Mineralogy and Geochemistry. Both serial publications are highly ranked within ISI with Reviews in Mineralogy and Geochemistry as the #1 in its ISI category with an Impact Factor of 4.375 in 2012.
