EBSCO Publishing releases CINAHL Complete

Electronic research databases provider EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) has announced that CINAHL, a research tool for nursing and allied health literature, will now provide even more content with the introduction of CINAHL Complete. The database will offer 71 percent more full-text journals than are available in CINAHL Plus with Full Text.

WK Health expands Medi-Span to include Patient Safety Programs File

WK Health has announced that its Medi-Span solution has been expanded to include a new Patient Safety Programs File. The application enables health IT systems to rapidly identify drugs containing specific characteristics that require surveillance based on federal regulations.

RSC to host UK's chemical database service and develop chemistry data repository

The RSC has won the tender to operate the UK National Chemical Database Service from 2013 to 2017. RSC will also develop a chemistry data repository for academia, and build tools and services on this data store to increase the value of researchers' funded work.

Brazilian Journal of Venomous Animals and Toxins including Tropical Diseases moves to BioMed Central

Open access publisher BioMed Central has announced that the Journal of Venomous Animals and Toxins including Tropical Diseases (JVATiTD) has moved to BioMed Central's open access publishing platform. The journal is the official academic journal of The Center for the Study of Venoms and Venomous Animals (CEVAP) of São Paulo State University (UNESP), based in Brazil.

De Gruyter acquires academic publishers Oldenbourg and Akademie

Academic publisher De Gruyter has announced the acquisition of two academic publishers with a long and rich tradition - Akademie Verlag, based in Berlin, and Oldenburg Wissenschaftsverlag, based in Munich. Both companies were acquired retroactively as of January 1, 2013 from Franz Cornelsen Bildungsgruppe, which is seeking to streamline its business.
