Clarivate launches Web of Science My Research Assistant mobile application
Clarivate Plc, a global leader in providing trusted information and insights to accelerate the pace of innovation, has launched Web of Science™ My Research Assistant, a mobile-only application that enables scientific researchers to easily search, save and share publication records of the trusted research data in the Web of Science citation index using their mobile devices. It enables researchers to search the Web of Science citation index and the associated Master Journal List to access an unrivaled breadth of world-class literature records linked to journals rigorously selected for their quality and impact criteria.
With the new edition of ISCN 2020, Karger offers the first online and interactive version of the International System for Human Cytogenomic Nomenclature (ISCN). The ISCN Committee has created an updated version of ISCN 2020 with an extended version of the Human Genome Variation Society (HGVS) nomenclature. Both nomenclatures are now also available online. The online platform also offers access to HGVS, which together with ISCN 2020 forms a comprehensive nomenclature.
ACS names deputy editors for its open access journals
The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) has named nine deputy editors to lead its newest journals, a collection of Plan S-compliant open access journals known as the ACS Au portfolio. The journals, which are launching in 2021, will each be led by Editor-in-Chief Shelley D. Minteer and by a deputy editor with special expertise in the journal's subject area. Minteer will also serve as deputy editor of ACS Measurement Science Au.
Brill reaches Transformative Agreements with Jisc and Bibsam
Brill has announced that it has concluded Transformative Agreements with Jisc in the UK and Bibsam in Sweden. Brill is claimed to be one of the leading academic publishers in the Humanities, Social Sciences, International Law and Biology, with a broad Open Access portfolio consisting of more than 450 books and several thousand journal articles.
The École de technologie supérieure signs San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment
The École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) is among the first Canadian universities to sign the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), which enhances parameters other than the journal impact factor to assess the results of scholarly research. As such, pre-publication versions of articles, data sets, software, protocols, training of researchers, social impacts and policy changes that result from research will now be considered in evaluating the research results of ÉTS researchers.
