ScienceOpen and Compuscript partner to create interactive experience for authors of the Irish Journal of Agricultural and Food Research
ScienceOpen and Compuscript are teaming up to create a new, interactive experience for readers and authors of the open access journal, the Irish Journal of Agricultural and Food Research (IJAFR) published by Teagasc, the Agriculture and Food Development Authority of Ireland. The new partnership will expand the reach of the academic journal the IJAFR. Current and future issues of the IJAFR will now be hosted within ScienceOpen's freely accessible, interactive discovery environment that contains over 65 million scholarly records of research articles, conference proceedings, books, posters, and preprints.
Europe PMC announces renewed funding and two new funders join the family
Europe PMC has announced that the Europe PMC infrastructure grant has been renewed for the period April 2021 to March 2026. The grant award is supported by 30 international biomedical funders and led by the Principal Investigator Dr Johanna McEntyre, of the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI). Two national funding organisations in the Netherlands, The Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) and ZonMw, join Europe PMC's funder family in 2021.
The Company of Biologists and the Max Planck Digital Library enter into Read & Publish Open Access agreement
The Company of Biologists has announced a three-year Read & Publish Open Access agreement with the Max Planck Digital Library. Under the new cost-neutral transformative agreement – which runs from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023 – corresponding authors at Max Planck Society's 86 Institutes benefit from immediate Open Access publication of their research articles in The Company of Biologists' hybrid subscription journals with no author-facing publishing charges.
Frontiers and Malmö University form open access publishing agreement
Malmö University has entered into open access publishing agreement with Frontiers to support its authors in publishing open access. As part of the support, Malmö University will cover Article Processing Charges (APCs) for eligible articles centrally for their eligible authors. As part of the Sweden Open Access Publishing Framework Agreement, Malmö University will benefit from a 10% membership discount.

Cengage appoints Alexandra Bernadotte and Dr. Michael L. Lomax to Board of Directors

TDRAC joins Bentham Science as Institutional Member
Bentham Science has announced an Institutional Member partnership with the Turkish university, Çukurova University Tropical Diseases Research and Application Center (TDRAC). The partnership provides the opportunity to the researchers, from the university, to publish their research under an Open Access license with specified fee concessions. The agreement is a continuation of Bentham Science Publishers' vision to make transformative agreements with renowned institutions around the world and facilitate their researchers for publishing their research.
