The new agreement began on January 1, 2021. It incorporates read access to all SPIE journals and proceedings in the SPIE Digital Library that comprises more than 530,000 publications covering topical areas ranging from biomedical optics and neuroscience to physics and astronomy-related technology. Read more Search for more news in this Theme   New journal from Cambridge University Press to push boundaries of biological imaging A new Open Access journal from Cambridge University Press will provide a home for interdisciplinary research in the fast-growing field of quantitative and computational imaging in the life sciences. The Press has launched Biological Imaging in recognition of the way computer science, machine learning and ever more sophisticated imaging technology are pushing the boundaries of knowledge about the tiny, hidden worlds of living cells and tissues. Read more Search for more news in this Theme   PLOS and the Big Ten Academic Alliance announce agreement to participate in PLOS' Community Action Publishing program The Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) and the Public Library of Science (PLOS) have announced an agreement for BTAA members to participate in PLOS' Community Action Publishing (CAP) program. The agreement ensures time to test and evaluate the new community-based model and allows BTAA researchers to publish in PLOS Biology and PLOS Medicine without incurring fees. The BTAA and PLOS will also collaborate on future data, metrics, and tools for institutions to evaluate Open Access publishing agreements. She will be responsible for defining and delivering the organisation's publishing strategy and leading a global team of editorial, production and author marketing colleagues. Re:Create works with policymakers to support balanced copyright and to stop attempts to further restrict copyright. Read more Search for more news in this Theme   University of Zaragoza adopts the FOLIO Library Services Platform University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR) is the first library in Spain to choose FOLIO as its Library Services Platform (LSP) with hosting services from EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO). The implementation project will be led by IBAI-SCANBIT Technology and Services (IBAI-SCANBIT) who has partnered with EBSCO for library implementation in Spain and will be completed in the spring of 2021.
