Springer Nature and Jisc extend commitment to open access publishing
Springer Nature and Jisc have extended the UK Compact agreement by including the prestigious Academic Journals (AJs) on nature.com that includes some of the world's most internationally renowned medical titles. The extension of the transformative agreement demonstrates both Springer Nature and Jisc's commitment to ensuring authors can publish their research open access (OA) from the point of publication, supporting wider accessibility while also managing the costs of access to OA publishing.

SAGE Publishing and scite sign indexing agreement to enhance discoverability through smart citations
Leading academic publisher SAGE Publishing and scite, an award-winning platform for discovering and evaluating scientific articles, have partnered to index SAGE articles on scite to enable the creation of Smart Citations for enhanced discoverability and evaluation. Smart Citations show how a scientific paper has been cited by providing the context of the citation and a classification describing whether it provides supporting or disputing evidence for the cited claim.
CABI launches Author Services and Education portal
CABI has announced the launch of a new Author Services and Education portal created to support researchers in successfully publishing impactful studies across all agriculture and biosciences. The new portal has been developed in partnership with Editage and Impact Science, part of Cactus Communications (CACTUS), a technology company accelerating scientific advancement.
IET Journals are now fully Open Access on the IET Research hub
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), in partnership with Wiley, has now completed the transition of its entire journals portfolio to Open Access. The entire IET journals program has transitioned to fully gold Open Access as part of a publishing partnership with Wiley. The IET journals portfolio includes over 40 journals, covering a wide range of engineering and technology fields. The latest content from the IET journals is now accessible through the new IET Research hub page on Wiley Online Library.
Registration now open for fifth session of Library Assessment Conference
The fifth session of the virtual 2020–21 Library Assessment Conference to be held on February 18, 2021, a half-day webinar on Services, is open for registration through online till February 15, 2021. The Conference is being offered as free monthly webinars through March 2021. Separate registration should be made by each attendee for each monthly session.
