Clarivate Analytics' Cortellis Content-as-a-Service to accelerate drug discovery and development

Clarivate Analytics plc, a global leader in providing trusted insights and analytics to accelerate the pace of innovation, has launched an expansion to its Cortellis suite of life science intelligence solutions with programmatic access to scientific data typically used in drug discovery and early stage development. The initial launch includes continually-updated systems biology datasets, which enable researchers to analyse molecular pathways and advance discovery research.

ASTM International's Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing Systems journal now included in Scopus Index

ASTM International has announced that the Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing Systems (SSMS) journal has been included in Elsevier's Scopus index, a highly-regarded designation which reflects quality research. Scopus, Elsevier's abstract and citation database, covers over 36,000 titles from more than 11,500 publishers.

The Society for Scholarly Publishing appoints Jacklyn Lord as Marketing and Operations Manager

The Society for Scholarly Publishing has announced that Jacklyn Lord has joined the SSP team as Marketing and Operations Manager, effective July 15. She is responsible for all marketing and communications and provides support for the Fellowship Program, Mentorship Program, Peer Group Networks, the Board of Directors, and the Nominating and Awards Committee. She will also oversee SSP's operations and provide administrative support for the Society.

American Society of Human Genetics set to launch new open access journal - Human Genetics and Genomics Advances

The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) will launch Human Genetics and Genomics Advances, a new journal that will provide a high-quality, scientific society-led, fully open access option for the human genetics and genomics research community. HGG Advances will publish across the complete spectrum of human genetics and genomics research. It will aim to build the human genetics and genomics knowledge base, and will be home for a wide range of research that meets ASHG's enduring standards for scientific rigor, validity, and reproducibility.

eLife has announced the first working example of its open-source journal hosting and post-production publishing system, Libero Publisher. The demo showcases some of the essential components of a journal on Libero Publisher, including a homepage and research articles with author lists and affiliations, figures and references.
