Plum Print from Plum Analytics allows research impact to be assessed at a glance

PlumTM Analytics, an EBSCO company, has introduced a new way to visualise research impact. The Plum Print will take the data available in Plum Analytics' product PlumXTM and visually illustrate the impact of a given artifact – an article, presentation, or other types of research, making it easy to see valuable information in one place.

OCLC Research publishes framework to help organise and drive discussions about evolving scholarly record

Library information provider OCLC Research has developed a framework that has been published in the report, The Evolving Scholarly Record, to help organise and drive discussions about the changing scholarly record. Written by Brian Lavoie, Eric Childress, Ricky Erway, Ixchel Faniel, Constance Malpas, Jennifer Schaffner, and Titia van der Werf, the report provides a high-level view of the categories of material the scholarly record potentially encompasses, as well as the key stakeholder roles associated with the creation, management, and use of the scholarly record.

Ziff Davis acquires emedia Communications from Reed Business Information

Digital media company Ziff Davis, LLC, has announced the acquisition of emedia Communications LLC, a provider of research to IT buyers and leads to IT vendors, from Reed Business Information. An agreement has also been signed to acquire the UK-based division of emedia, which will transfer to Ziff Davis following a period of employee consultation.
