Mendeley, a free reference manager and academic social network, is co-organizing the 3rd International Workshop on Mining Scientific Publications along with CORE, the Open University, Athena Research and Innovation Center, and the European Library/ Europeana. It is expected that the event will draw researchers from across academia and industry to work through the amazing possibilities and challenges around mining scientific content.

Discovery Center Continium partners with EndNote to expand Science Hack Day in Kerkrade

New eBooks deal between Springer and Universidad de Costa Rica includes more than 50,000 titles

STM publisher Springer and the Universidad de Costa Rica in San Jose has announced a major deal that amounts to tens of thousands of eBook titles for researchers, students, faculty and library patrons of the university. The agreement is for five years, and consists of both the backlist and current titles going forward.

SAGE unveils new Open Access journal - Digital Health

Academic publisher SAGE has announced the launch of a new, interdisciplinary Open Access (OA) journal, Digital Health. A fully peer-reviewed journal, Digital Health will present universally accessible and digestible content on the latest developments in the rapidly emerging field of digital health practices. The journal will accept submissions beginning in the summer of 2014.
