Clarivate Analytics expands Transparent Peer Review pilot with Wiley to include 10 new titles

Wiley has expanded its Transparent Peer Review project with the addition of ten further leading international journals. Clarivate companies - Publons, the world's largest peer review platform, and ScholarOne, the leading manuscript submission system - launched the scholarly industry's first scalable open peer review workflow system from peer review through to revision and publication decision with Wiley in September 2018.

Dr. Kathleen G. Burke named Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for Nurses in Professional Development

The Journal for Nurses in Professional Development (JNPD), published in the Lippincott portfolio by Wolters Kluwer, has announced the appointment of Dr. Kathleen G. Burke as Editor-in-Chief, effective January 2019. Dr. Burke is the corporate director of nursing professional development and innovation and the Co-Director for Continuing Interprofessional Education for the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

Brill launches two new review journals in Social Sciences

Academic publisher Brill publishers has launched two new titles in its successful suite of review journals, Brill Research Perspectives, in the subject area of the Social Sciences. The first issues are planned for 2020 and will become available online and in print. Brill Research Perspectives provides researchers with the opportunity to give an account of the most recent scholarship and to define and direct the agenda for future research.

Maine Shared Collections Cooperative works with OCLC's Sustainable Collection Services to expand shared print project

The Maine Shared Collections Cooperative and OCLC's Sustainable Collection Services have expanded their work on a shared print monographs retention project to analyse the group's collections and ensure that copies of important print works are identified, retained and shared among group members. The Maine Shared Collections Cooperative (MSCC) worked with Sustainable Collection Services to implement a shared approach to the management of print collections in the state in 2013.

American Association of Critical-Care Nurses appoints Aluko Hope as Physician Co-Editor of American Journal of Critical Care

The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) has appointed Aluko Hope, physician co-editor-in-chief of American Journal of Critical Care (AJCC), its official interdisciplinary, scientific journal. Hope is an associate professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an intensivist and assistant bioethics consultant at Montefiore Medical Center.
