AMRI announces 5-year agreement with CAS for SciFinder

CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society (ACS), has announced that AMRI, a global life sciences contract research, development and manufacturing organisation with locations in North America, Europe and Asia, has signed a 5-year agreement for SciFinder®. This investment ensures that all AMRI researchers globally will continue to have access to SciFinder.

Cambridge University Press launches Cambridge Elements, a new model for scholarly publishing

Academic publisher Cambridge University Press has launched a new publishing model to provide an outlet for world-class research and writing that sits outside the traditional formats of book or journal article. Work of between 50-120 pages will be published digitally and through print-on-demand as 'Cambridge Elements' – concise, peer-reviewed guides to key and current topics across all fields of study and research. These will be organised into focused series, edited by leading scholars.

APA opts for HighWire's Impact Vizor

Scholarly publishing tech provider HighWire has announced that the American Psychological Association (APA) is using HighWire's journal analytics tool. The award-winning technology will provide APA with insight into the reach and impact of its academic journal program which spans 89 titles, publishing around 5,000 new articles annually.

Human Kinetics to host journal content and develop new Video platform with Sheridan PubFactory

Human Kinetics, a publisher of specialised health and physical activity content for students, researchers, and professionals, has partnered with Sheridan PubFactory to host all their journal content and develop a new Video platform to launch in 2019. Human Kinetics publishes more than 25 journals, over 500 textbook and trade book titles, and more than 200 continuing education courses in the areas of sport, health, fitness, and physical activity.
