Scholarly publisher Pensoft has announced that the Swiss Entomological Society's official journal Die Mitteilungen der Schweizerischen Entomologischen Gesellschaft (Journal of the Swiss Entomological Society) is the latest historical scientific journal to join the lines of Pensoft's portfolio. As a result of a unanimous vote at the Swiss Entomological Society's general assembly in March, the journal is now rebranded as Alpine Entomology to reflect the shift in its scope and focus. More

ProQuest adds 24 primary sources to its Jisc Purchasing Pilot |
ProQuest is adding 24 primary sources to its offering through the Jisc Digital archival collections group purchasing pilot, following the successful adoption of its databases by 20 universities during the initial period earlier this year. The Jisc program's goal is to lower customer cost, leveraging the collective purchasing power of UK Higher Education Institutions (HEI) to enable wider adoption of digital archives. The program will now run through July 2018. More
