Elsevier recognises achievement of Australia and New Zealand's scientists at Scopus Researcher Awards 2017

Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, announced winners of the Scopus Researcher Awards 2017 in three categories at Powerhouse Museum, Sydney, Australia. The awards are open to and recognise the academic contribution of Australia and New Zealand's researchers who are building a career in academic research, and help them gain broad recognition at home and abroad for their work.

American Chemical Society appoints Shana J. Sturla new editor-in-chief of Chemical Research in Toxicology

The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) has announced the appointment of Dr. Shana J. Sturla of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETH Zürich) as the next editor-in-chief of Chemical Research in Toxicology, the only chemistry-focused journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of toxic agents. Sturla will take over leadership of the distinguished peer-reviewed journal, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, at the beginning of 2018.

AIP Publishing and AVS partner to launch eSpectra: Surface Science

AIP Publishing and AVS, an interdisciplinary, professional Society, have announced the launch of eSpectra: Surface Science, a new plotting and visualization tool providing access to over 4,000 peer-reviewed spectra from 700 materials, all on one interactive platform. The peer-reviewed XPS, AES, and UPS datasets come from over 600 articles published in Surface Science Spectra, the definitive international journal by the AVS.

American Academy of Ophthalmology and DigiSight Technologies in deal to drive innovations in eye health through world's largest specialty clinical database

The American Academy of Ophthalmology and DigiSight Technologies, Inc. have announced an agreement to operate the world's largest database of ophthalmic clinical information. As part of the agreement, the Academy is licensing commercial application of its IRIS® Registry (Intelligent Research in Sight) to DigiSight. Terms were not disclosed.

Thieme to be new media partner of Germany's leading nursing congress, the German Nursing Day
