Swiss National Library selects Ex Libris Alma and Primo Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that the Swiss National Library (NL) has selected the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution. The NL decided to replace its legacy integrated library system, VTLS Virtua, with an up-to-date management platform and a publicly accessible search system. Following a competitive, open tender process, the NL opted for the Alma and Primo solutions to provide next-generation library services. Authors of articles published by the American Thoracic Society, Emerald Publishing, FASEB and The IET can now use Kudos to create summary PDFs of their articles, for uploading to sites like ResearchGate and Academia.edu. At the same time, Puf will also publish the Archives juives journal. These journals will be available in hard copy and in an electronic version on cairn.info, which will provide access, if necessary, to all the archives previously available on necplus.eu. Kenney as interim executive director The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) Board of Directors has appointed Anne R. Kenney as interim executive director of the Association, effective January 1, 2018. Active in the profession, Kenney is an international leader in digitisation of library collections. She served as a fellow and president of the Society of American Archivists, co-authored three award-winning monographs and more than 50 articles and reports, and was awarded the American Library Association Hugh C. Atkinson Memorial Award in 2014.
