London Info International to host Copyright Card Game as part of the Open Conference Stream on December 5

London Info International will host the Copyright Card Game as part of the Open Conference Stream on December 5, 2017. This workshop will be a taster session based on Copyright the Card Game delivered by Chris Morrison and Jane Secker, the team behind the game's development. The game has proved a valuable way of teaching librarians about copyright in an engaging and fun way.

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group achieves HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 following integration of Elsevier's Order Sets and Care Planning

Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, has announced that Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG) has achieved HIMSS EMRAM (EMR Adoption Model) Stage 6 following integration of Elsevier's Order Sets and Care Planning solutions. HMG, a private hospital group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, implemented Elsevier's clinical decision support (CDS) solutions in the Sehat Al Suwaidi Hospital site in July 2017.

AMIA launches new Gold Open Access journal - JAMIA Open

American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) has launched JAMIA Open, a new Gold Open Access scholarly publication jamiaopen.org. JAMIA Open is a sibling publication to the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association (JAMIA). Neil Sarkar is the editor, and manuscripts are now being accepted for review.

CRKN 2017 Annual General Meeting in Review

CRKN's 2017 Annual General Meeting was held October 18-20 in Montreal, Quebec. The meetings were well attended with 94 registered members and stakeholders, plus invited guest speakers and staff. The event opened with a welcome from Alan Shepard, CRKN Board Chair and President of Concordia University, during a reception hosted by Colleen Cook, McGill's Trenholme Dean of Libraries in the recently renovated Colgate Room at McGill's McLennan Library.
