Brill acquires Sense Publishers

International scholarly publisher Koninklijke Brill N.V. has acquired all shares of Sense Publishers B.V. (Dordrecht, NL), effective July 1, 2017 upon completion of satisfactory due diligence. Brill and Sense Publishers signed an agreement to transfer all shares of Sense Publishers to Brill.

Dryad and DANS (Data Archiving and Networked Services) have announced a new collaboration to ensure long-term preservation and accessibility to curated scientific data. Over 50,000 researchers who have already deposited research data with Dryad can count on continuous open access to their data packages with an extra layer of security and recoverability as a result of this partnership.

New OpenCon report focuses on designing diverse, equitable and inclusive events

The report includes relevant lessons learned in organising the first three OpenCon global conferences, a conference planning checklist based on those learnings, and a self-assessment of OpenCon's global meetings to date.
