CAS announces 2017 SciFinder Future Leaders

CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, has announced the 2017 SciFinder Future Leaders. Twenty-five international Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers will visit CAS headquarters in Columbus, OH, this August to collaborate on new initiatives to support the scientific community, including the latest CAS workflow solution, SciFindern.

Elsevier announces new book series on autism treatments

Elsevier, the information analytics company specialising in science and health, has announced the publication of a new book series, Critical Specialties in Treating Autism and Other Behavioral Challenges, edited by Jonathan Tarbox. The purpose of this series is to provide treatment manuals that address topics of high importance to practitioners working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other behavioral challenges.

American Psychological Association appoints George Kowal as senior director, sales and customer support

The American Psychological Association has appointed George Kowal as senior director, sales and customer support, responsible for sales performance across products and markets for APA's nearly $100 million publishing organisation. He assumes the new post on July 10. APA's sales and customer support team oversees all customer relations and contract management for APA's online solutions, including PsycINFO, the discovery platform for the psychological sciences.

Wolters Kluwer Health appoints Jean-Claude Saghbini as CTO

PA appoints William Bowes as new General Counsel and Director of Policy

Journal of Orthoptera Research joins Pensoft's open access portfolio

The Orthopterists' Society's Journal of Orthoptera Research (JOR) has joined the growing portfolio of open access titles published on the Pensoft-developed journal publishing platform ARPHA (abbreviation for Authoring, Reviewing, Publishing, Hosting and Archiving). The first issue in collaboration with Pensoft is live on the new journal's website as of June 2017.
