Elsevier unveils new version of Reaxys Medicinal Chemistry, facilitates better connections between biological and chemical data

Elsevier, the information analytics company specializing in science and health, has released a new version of Reaxys Medicinal Chemistry to improve the discoverability and extraction of relevant chemistry data - more than twice as fast as any other solution. The new release has undergone significant usability improvements to deliver a more streamlined and intuitive user interface.

AIP Publishing eliminates publication charges for the Journal of Applied Physics and Applied Physics Letters

AIP Publishing has announced that it will eliminate publication page charges for the Journal of Applied Physics and Applied Physics Letters, as of June 1, 2017. Removing publication page charges from the Journal of Applied Physics and Applied Physics Letters is the latest move in a series of changes that reflect AIP Publishing's commitment to authors and to making publishing more fair and accessible to all researchers.

Oxford University Press partners with the British Society for Rheumatology to publish a new OA journal - Rheumatology Advances in Practice

Academic publisher Oxford University Press has announced its partnership with the British Society for Rheumatology to publish a new, peer-reviewed open-access journal - Rheumatology Advances in Practice, beginning June 2017. Rheumatology Advances in Practice will complement the well-established journal Rheumatology to reflect the increasing breadth of rheumatology practice.

EBSCO partners with American Library Association to award scholarships for librarians to attend 2017 Annual Conference

The American Library Association (ALA) and EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) are making it easier for seven librarians to attend the ALA Annual Conference after winning EBSCO-ALA scholarships. Each scholarship provides up to $1,000 to help defray the cost of travel and other expenses to the conference taking place in Chicago on June 22-27.

The European Commission signs framework agreement for Ex Libris Primo and Alma

Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that the European Commission has signed an inter-institutional framework agreement for the supply of the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution. Libraries from ten European institutions and bodies will benefit from the agreement, including the libraries of the European Commission, the Council of the European Union, the European Parliament, the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Committee of the Regions, and the European Court of Auditors.
