COAR publishes new report - Asia Open Access Regional Survey

The Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR) has published a new report, Asia Open Access Regional Survey. The report presents the results of a survey of open access activities in Asia undertaken in early 2017. It is expected that the survey results will contribute to the wider implementation of open access and help various regions make the case for greater investment in open access, both in terms of policies, as well as national and local infrastructure.

Agfa HealthCare integrates Thieme's medical knowledge platform eRef into hospital information system ORBIS

Agfa HealthCare, a member of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, has announced the integration of Thieme's medical knowledge platform eRef into the hospital information system (KIS) ORBIS. Hereafter, clinics working with ORBIS and licensed by eRef will have direct access to the medical journals, databases and databases from the KIS, as well as a comprehensive picture archive, patient reconnaissance sheets, videos and other services from Georg Thieme Verlag.

Taylor & Francis and The Conversation Africa partner to boost engagement with African research

Academic publisher Taylor & Francis and The Conversation Africa have announced a new partnership to facilitate African researchers increasing public engagement with their work and expertise. By acting as Funding Partner, Taylor & Francis will work with The Conversation Africa to highlight essential African research and offer T&F authors, journal editors, and publishing partners closer links with the African news website.

American Herbal Products Association and ASTM International sign MOU on cannabis standards

Global standards organisation ASTM International and the American Herbal Products Association have announced a Memorandum of Understanding to work together on standards for the cannabis industry. The news comes in advance of the first meeting of ASTM International's new cannabis committee, June 11 and 12.

Cochrane announces latest Associate Centre - Cochrane Iran
