Springer Nature launches Recommended - connecting researchers with research that matters to them

Publisher Springer Nature has launched Recommended, a new service which connects the research community with the most relevant content. The service has been developed in response to the extensive and rapid increase in published research which makes it difficult for researchers to keep up to date with developments in their specific fields. It is the first such service from a publisher, in which specific recommendations from across all published literature are generated by algorithm.

IET's 'The Good Researcher's Guide to Publishing' event help early career researchers get on the publishing ladder

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has launched a new initiative aimed at providing tips and advice to help researchers get their work published for the first time. The Good Researcher's Guide to Publishing event, held February 22 at IET London: Savoy Place in central London, made it possible for new researchers to hear from experienced authors, from academia and industry, as well as from other early career researchers who have recently been through the competitive publishing process.
