IOP and CAUL announce new agreement

IOP Publishing and the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) have announced a new agreement, covering 31 universities in Australia and New Zealand. While the previous agreement was based on historical spend on print version of journals, the new model is based on an institution's science-category full time equivalent students, and weighted against levels of study and research.

BMC Research Notes to re-focus on dark data, bite-size and negative results

BMC Research Notes, an open access journal from BioMed Central, will re-focus on its original mission of accepting submissions for short publications, incremental updates to previous work, results of individual experiments and similar material that lacks a suitable publication outlet. While returning to its roots with a focus on publishing null results, dark data and micropublishing, the journal will also expand its scope to cover all scientific and clinical disciplines.

Leading UK research to be showcased at the AAAS meeting

A host of leading UK scientists and academics will be presenting their research at the prestigious annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Boston, MA from February 16–20, 2017. The Research Councils are hosting an international reception at the AAAS meeting on the evening of February 18 at the Skywalk Observatory high-rise viewing area at the top of the Prudential Tower.

Thieme Publishers and the NDTA to showcase Practical Guide to NDT Clinical Practice at the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting

Medical and scientific publisher Thieme Publishers and the Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association (NDTA) will be showcasing Neuro-Developmental Treatment: A Guide to NDT Clinical Practice at APTA-CSM from February 15-18, 2017. Authored by instructors of the NDTA, this book is the culmination of a five-year project aimed toward developing an up-to-date guide to the neurorehabilitation approach originally developed by Karl and Berta Bobath.
