IOP and CAUL announce new agreement |
IOP Publishing and the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) have announced a new agreement, covering 31 universities in Australia and New Zealand. While the previous agreement was based on historical spend on print version of journals, the new model is based on an institution's science-category full time equivalent students, and weighted against levels of study and research. BMC Research Notes to re-focus on dark data, bite-size and negative results |
BMC Research Notes, an open access journal from BioMed Central, will re-focus on its original mission of accepting submissions for short publications, incremental updates to previous work, results of individual experiments and similar material that lacks a suitable publication outlet. While returning to its roots with a focus on publishing null results, dark data and micropublishing, the journal will also expand its scope to cover all scientific and clinical disciplines. More
