Wiley-Publons pilot program enhances peer-reviewer recognition

Publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. has announced the launch of a six-month pilot program in partnership with Publons.com. The pilot enables peer reviewers for selected Wiley journals to get credit for their peer reviews on Publons. Publons works with reviewers, publishers, universities, and funding agencies to turn peer review into a measurable research output.

Elsevier unveils new open access journal - Reviews in Physics

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of a new open access journal Reviews in Physics. The journal claims to be the first open access journal publishing only review papers in all areas of (applied) physics. It seeks to provide a platform for researchers who wish to summarise a field of physics research and share this work globally and as widely as possible.

APA to publish Psychology & Neuroscience journal

The American Psychological Association (APA) has announced that it will become the worldwide publisher of the journal Psychology & Neuroscience. This widely respected journal of the Brazilian Institute of Neuropsychology and Behaviour (Instituto Brasileiro de Neuropsicologia e Comportamento) was first published in 2008 by the Pontificia Universiade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro.
