Elsevier collaborates with Follett to expand access to digital offerings

STM publisher Elsevier has announced a collaboration with Follett Higher Education Group, operator of more than 900 college and university stores across the US and Canada, to provide expanded access to more than 700 Pageburst digital titles through Follett's Digital Passcode Fulfillment (DPF) process. Follett is the provider of retail and wholesale bookstore services and course materials in North America.

Springer and Breast Cancer Research Foundation announce publishing partnership

STM publisher Springer has announced that it will publish a series of books in cooperation with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), starting 2013. Four books will be published annually, and will be included in the Springer series Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology.

WK Health and American Academy of Neurology renew partnership to publish five AAN publications

Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health (WK Health) and the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) have signed an agreement to renew their partnership to publish Neurology, Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology, Neurology Today, Neurology Now and Neurology Clinical Practice. Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), part of WK Health, is the publisher of the AAN journals, which are available in print, online, and iPad app editions to members of the AAN and individual subscribers.

Wiley to sell travel assets to Google to focus on core publishing areas

John Wiley & Sons, Inc. is to sell all of its travel assets, including all of its interests in the Frommer's brand, to Google. Proceeds from this sale will be redeployed to support growth opportunities in Professional/Trade; Scientific, Technical, Medical, and Scholarly; and Global Education businesses.

New agreement between SAGE and the University of Toronto provide access to SAGE's content and platforms

Academic publisher SAGE has announced a new agreement with the University of Toronto. The deal will allow the University's staff, students and researchers access to a wide variety of SAGE's content and platforms. The agreement includes many electronic products and platforms offered by SAGE and CQ Press.

OCLC names five librarians to participate in 2013 Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program

OCLC, along with the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), has named five librarians chosen to participate in the Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program for 2013. The 2013 Jordan IFLA/OCLC Fellows were announced by Jay Jordan, OCLC President and CEO, at a news conference during the World Library and Information Congress: 78th IFLA General Conference and Assembly in Helsinki, Finland.

First anniversary of Ex Libris Aleph at the University of Oxford's Bodleian Libraries

Library automation solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced that the Aleph integrated library system has successfully completed its first year in operation at the University of Oxford's Bodleian Libraries. Supporting over 100 college, department, and other libraries across the university, which together contain 13 million items, the Bodleian library system uses a suite of Ex Libris products for both discovery and resource management.

American Psychological Association to deploy Editorial Manager for journals

Aries Systems has announced that the American Psychological Association (APA) has selected its Editorial Manager for manuscript submission and peer review of over 70 journals. Several of APA's journals are already using Aries' Software as a Service, including International Perspectives in Psychology.
