Wiley and Quantum Simulations partner to deliver intelligent adaptive learning and assessment solution for accounting education

Publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. has partnered with Quantum Simulations, Inc. to offer intelligent adaptive learning and assessment software with Wiley's print and digital accounting textbooks, starting with Introductory Accounting through Intermediate Accounting. Quantum Simulation is a developer of artificial intelligence-based education products and services.

Cambridge University Press responds to US ruling on GUS infringement case

CUP has responded to a US judge's favourable ruling in the case it brought in 2008 with other publishers. The publishers had sued Georgia State University on its use of unlicensed book excerpts. The University has been held liable for five copyright infringement claims.

NTIS launches National Technical Reports Library Version 3.0

The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce has announced the launch of the next generation National Technical Reports Library Version 3.0, also known as NTRL V3.0. The NTRL V3.0 is now publicly available after two years of research and development.

European Latsis Prize seeks nominations for outstanding contributions to research in Mathematics

The European Science Foundation (ESF) is inviting nominations for the European Latsis Prize 2012. The Prize, of a value of Euro 80,000, is presented each year by the Latsis Foundation, through the ESF, to a scientist or research group in recognition of outstanding and innovative contributions in a selected field of research. The research field for the 2012 Prize is 'Mathematics'.
