Journal of Infusion Nursing unveils iPad edition at INS conference

Journal of Infusion Nursing, the official publication of the Infusion Nurses Society, has unveiled an iPad app. It is being showcased at the INS 2012 Annual Conference in Las Vegas. The app is available as a free download at the iTunes App Store.

EBSCO adds CE modules to clinical reference tool for rehab therapists

EBSCO has announced that it has added continuing education modules to Rehabilitation Reference Center, an evidence-based clinical reference tool for use by rehabilitation clinicians at the point-of-care. Nineteen CE modules are currently included in Rehabilitation Reference Center and there are plans to increase that number later.

Oxford University Press launches journal 'Migration Studies'

Oxford University Press has launched a journal titled Migration Studies, which will draw together diverse disciplinary and thematic strands of research about migration in order to consolidate migration studies as a unified field. Alan Gamlen is its Editor-in-Chief.

Cengage Learning was recently named a finalist in the Best Postsecondary Instructional Solution category of the 2012 CODiE Awards for its Course360 online courses. CrossRef launches CrossMark update identification service for scholarly content users

CrossRef has launched the CrossMark update identification service. The CrossMark system will alert researchers to important changes that may occur to published scholarly content and will highlight important publication record information. The service has been piloted by several CrossRef member publishers for the past year.

A-levels not equipping students with appropriate mathematical skills, says SCORE report

The RSC hosted an event at the Chemistry Centre in London last week, at which the science-alliance SCORE launched a report on A levels and science. New evidence shows that A-levels in a range of subjects fail to equip students with appropriate mathematical skills.

Ronald F van Vollenhoven named Editor-in-Chief of 'European Musculoskeletal Review'

Touch Briefings has appointed Prof. Ronald F van Vollenhoven, MD, PhD, as Editor-in-Chief of European Musculoskeletal Review, a quarterly review journal. He currently serves as Chief, Clinical Trials Unit Department of Rheumatology at the Karolinska University Hospital.

Elsevier releases ChemApps: Strategic Applications of Named Reactions in Organic Synthesis

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the release of ChemApps: Strategic Applications of Named Reactions in Organic Synthesis (SANROS), the second in a new series of apps for iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad based on Elsevier books. The first title, NeuroApps: MRI Atlas of Human White Matter is also available on the App Store.

Benchmark portal honours WK Health's Ovid and LWW technical services team as top 100 Center of Excellence

Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health (WK Health) has announced that the Technical Services team for its Ovid and LWW journals business has been designated a 2012 Top 100 Center of Excellence from Benchmark Portal, in collaboration with the Center for Customer-Driven Quality, founded at Purdue University. The recognition was in the Small Center category, which is for those service centers with less than 100 staff members. More

SAGE set to publish AOFAS journal, Foot & Ankle International

Academic publisher SAGE has been chosen by the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) to publish its journal, Foot & Ankle International, beginning in January 2013. Foot & Ankle International (FAI) began publication in 1980 and emphasises surgical and medical management as well as basic clinical research related to foot and ankle problems.

Chilton has announced an agreement with WHI Solutions to provide updates to Chilton's ChiltonPRO and ChiltonEstimating products.
