Wiley and The Royal Entomological Society renew publishing partnership

John Wiley and Sons Inc., a global research and education company, and The Royal Entomological Society have announced the renewal of their publishing agreement and continued commitment to their partnership. Having partnered for many years, this renewed agreement extends for a further term and builds upon a long history of successful collaboration that has seen the RES journals grow from strength to strength.

EBSCO's GOBI Library Solutions and TIND partner to improve acquisitions workflows

A new partnership between GOBI® Library Solutions from EBSCO (GOBI Library Solutions), a division of EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO), and TIND is aimed at streamlining GOBI acquisitions for TIND libraries. Libraries using the TIND ILS will now be able to use new functionality to streamline the acquisitions process.

ARL to retire SPEC survey program in November

The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) has announced that the SPEC survey program will end with the publication of SPEC Kit 361 in November. Going forward, ARL is developing new ways to design and implement pilot projects to test new measures, and record and distribute case studies that illustrate best practices.

ChemComm to offer option for double-blind peer review

The Royal Society of Chemistry has announced that its journal ChemComm will continue offering authors the option for double-blind peer review, after a trial over the past 12 months. ChemComm publishes 100 issues per year, and is known for being the fastest publisher of articles providing information on new avenues of chemical research.

IOP Publishing awards top cited Chinese authors

IOP Publishing has recognised top cited authors from China with a new award. The award is for corresponding authors from China, for work published across the whole IOP Publishing journal portfolio in the past three years (2015-2017).
