Wiley and Proforums partner to create an online community for CPA candidates

John Wiley and Sons Inc., a global research and learning company, and Proforums, a provider of online communities for professional exams, have announced a partnership to launch CPAforum as a free resource to help CPA candidates pass the CPA Exam. The partnership makes Wiley the founding sponsor of CPAforum which will ultimately improve higher education outcomes for students.

Panelists discuss new developments in Open Access monographs in the humanities and social sciences at OASPA and Knowledge Exchange webinar

Eelco Ferwerda (OAPEN), Lucy Montgomery (Knowledge Unlatched Research), and Christina Emery (Springer Nature) recently joined OASPA and Knowledge Exchange for a webinar to discuss new developments in Open Access monographs in the humanities and social sciences. Jeroen Sondervan (Knowledge Exchange) chaired the discussion. The Copyright Clearance Center hosted the webinar.

Cell Press CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Cell Dr. Emilie Marcus to pursue new career at UCLA

Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, has announced that Emilie Marcus, CEO of Cell Press and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Cell, has decided to move on to a new role at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Cell Press is one of Elsevier's flagship brands and has grown tremendously in volume, quality and influence under Dr. Marcus' 20 years of leadership.
