CHORUS and JST sign Japan Dashboard agreement

Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) has signed a Japan Dashboard agreement with CHORUS to monitor public accessibility of content reporting on JST-funded research. The agreement comes after a successful pilot project that began in July 2016.

Cambridge University Press' digitised content included in Yewno's knowledge discovery product

Cambridge University Press and Yewno partner to include over 1.5 million Cambridge University Press journal articles and 44,000 eBooks in Yewno's visual knowledge discovery product for students and researchers. Yewno Discover will now be enhanced by the inclusion of Cambridge University Press' full digitised academic content. Over the last 2 years, the knowledge discovery product has benefited from the inclusion of Cambridge University Press journal articles.

ABIM MOC assessments feature access to UpToDate

Beginning in 2018, physicians will be able to access UpToDate® - an online, evidence-based clinical decision support resource - during American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) assessments. UpToDate will be the first online resource available during traditional MOC exams physicians take every 10 years, as well as ABIM's new, shorter MOC assessment option - called Knowledge Check-Ins - that physicians can take every two years from their home or workplace.

ASTM International appoints Joannie Chin to its Board of Directors

ASTM International, a global standards organisation, has appointed Joannie Chin, a materials scientist and the deputy director of the Engineering Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), to its board of directors. Chin will complete the term of her former colleague, Laurie Locascio, who resigned from the board after taking a new professional position.

American Mathematical Society to acquire Mathematical Association of America's book program

The American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America have recently announced an agreement for the AMS to acquire the MAA's book publishing program. The high-quality mathematics titles and textbooks developed and edited by MAA Press will now be published as an imprint of the AMS Book Program. This agreement includes all existing MAA Press books, as well as a renewable license to continue to publish new books under the MAA Press imprint.

Macmillan Learning names Susan Winslow as General Manager

Macmillan Learning, an educational solutions company, has named Susan Winslow as General Manager of their academic business. Winslow will oversee the higher education and AP high school division including the content, digital product development, custom services, marketing, communications, training and professional development teams. Winslow will report to CEO Ken Michaels.
