Springer and ABES sign landmark eBooks agreement

STM publisher Springer and ABES (agence bibliographique de l'enseignement supérieur) have signed a national license which gives access to four complete eBook collections. The agreement entitles French researchers to use one of the world's largest scientific and technical eBook collections, available on Springer's platform SpringerLink.

Australasian Society for Immunology Inc. and Wiley announce new publishing partnership

Publisher John Wiley and Sons Inc. has announced its selection by the Australasian Society for Immunology Inc. (ASI) as publishing partner for its prestigious scholarly journals in immunology. With over 1000 members, the ASI is the major learned society for immunology in the Asia-Pacific region. Beginning in January 2018, Wiley will assume publishing responsibility for the ASI's two prestigious journals: Immunology & Cell Biology (ICB) and Clinical & Translational Immunology (CTI).

Taylor & Francis and Chinese Academy of Sciences partner to support access to research in China

Academic publisher Taylor & Francis has announced a partnership with Chinese Academy of Sciences to support access to research in China. A new partnership between Taylor & Francis and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Sciences Library, will ensure that all Taylor & Francis journals are evaluated and indexed on the CAS platform GoOA, providing greater access for Chinese researchers.

Peer Review Week 2017 to run from September 11 - 17

Following on from the success of Peer Review Week 2016, a group of organisations is working collaboratively to plan a week of activities and events to strengthen and celebrate peer review for the third year in a row. The theme of Peer Review Week 2017 is Transparency in Review, a topic that will allow the community to explore a wide range of opportunities and challenges that this presents for peer review.

Atypon's Literatum online publishing platform now supports CHORUS

Atypon has announced that its widely used online publishing platform, Literatum, now supports CHORUS and enables access while improving the discoverability of funded research. Using elements of the existing research infrastructure, such as standards and identifiers, combined with open APIs, CHORUS optimises funder identification, content discovery and long-term accessibility, public accessibility monitoring, and dashboard reporting.
