The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) has adopted a new logo as part of an evolution of its brand. As the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) enters its 40th year, the visual identity of the Society has been refreshed to better align with the work its members do to advance scholarly communication worldwide.

Elsevier publishes eight new renewable-alternative energy titles

Elsevier, the information analytics company specializing in science and health, has announced The Performance of Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Systems: Analysis, Measurement, and Assessment, an essential reference for research and development professionals and engineers working on concentrated solar power systems, and for postgraduate students studying CSP. Elsevier also announced the publication of seven additional renewable and alternative energy books.

Professor Krisztian Kordas named Specialty Chief Editor of Translational Materials Science

Professor Krisztian Kordas has been named the new Specialty Chief Editor of Translational Materials Science section of Frontiers in Materials. Krisztian Kordas is a Professor of micro- and nano-electronic materials and components for ICT applications at the University of Oulu, Finland. Professor Kordas takes on the role from Professor Oliver Hayden.
