Qatar University Library collaborates with Elsevier to improve coverage and discoverability of published research by Qatar University authors

Qatar University Library and STM publisher Elsevier have announced their collaboration to maximize visibility, impact and dissemination of articles published by QU faculty and researchers. Through Elsevier's ScienceDirect APIs, QUL's institutional repository (QSpace) now receives an automated feed of metadata, abstracts and embargo end date information for all articles published in Elsevier journals by Qatar University authors.

Springer Nature appoints Tim Britton as Managing Director of Open Research Group

Tim Britton, formerly of PwC, r2i and YouGov, has joined Springer Nature as Managing Director of the Open Research Group. Britton, who has decades of experience working in the marketing and research information industries, will be responsible for the open research portfolio across Springer Nature, including BioMed Central, SpringerOpen, the open access journals from Nature Research and open access monographs from Springer and Palgrave Macmillan.
