Scope e-Knowledge Center to exhibit at Frankfurt Book Fair 2016

Scope e-Knowledge Center (Scope), a leading provider of knowledge services and a Quatrro Global Services company, is pleased to announce its participation at the forthcoming Frankfurt Book Fair from October 19 - 23, 2016. Scope will welcome attendees to Booth # L88, Hall 4.2. Scope will also make a presentation at the "Hot Spot" session on 'Improving Discovery of Book Content' in Hall 4.2 on October 20th at 5 pm.

Elsevier launches Brexit Resource Centre

STM publisher Elsevier has launched a Brexit Resource Centre. The site provides free access to comprehensive research data, metrics and other online resources to help researchers, institutions, funders and government decision makers within and outside of the UK to monitor effects of the referendum on the UK's research base, and support decision-making based on this data.

IPA and IFLA issue joint pledge to strive for universal access to information

The world bodies speaking for the publishing and library sectors, the International Publishers Association (IPA) and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), have pledged to find mechanisms for universal access to information, and to help national and international authorities to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals linked to literacy, education and reading. In a joint statement, the first UNESCO International Day for Universal Access to Information, the IPA and the IFLA declare that access to information should be universal.
