Elsevier and zyBooks launch web-based interactive version of Computer Organization and Design, Fifth Edition

STM publisher Elsevier and zyBooks, an online interactive textbook provider, has announced the launch of a web-based interactive version of the market-leading textbook Computer Organization and Design, Fifth Edition (David A. Patterson & John L. Hennessy, 2013). Considered the global industry standard textbook for hundreds of thousands of undergraduate students pursuing degrees in computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering, the textbook is used in sophomore required courses to senior electives.

Scottish Confederation of University and Research Libraries names Ex Libris Alma as top-ranked library management platform

Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, has announced that SCURL (the Scottish Confederation of University and Research Libraries) and APUC (Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges) have selected the Ex Libris Alma® library management service and Primo® discovery and delivery platform as the top-ranked solutions for Scottish higher and further education libraries. The first two institutions to take advantage of the APUC framework contract with Ex Libris are Heriot-Watt University (HWU) and Abertay University.
