Society for Scholarly Publishing Annual Meeting crosses boundaries, borders and aims to break down barriers The 38th Annual Meeting of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) will be held at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, BC, June 1-3, 2016. Although its membership includes professionals from around the world, this is the first time SSP is meeting outside of the US. The theme for this year's meeting is Crossing Boundaries: New Horizons in Scholarly Communication. Of the top ten countries in the Nature Index, only China has shown double digit compound annual growth between 2012 and 2015 with some of its universities growing their contribution to the index as fast as 25% annually. US contributions have declined 2.8% in the same period from a very high base.
