Elsevier and ICPSR announce data linking between research articles and datasets

STM publisher Elsevier and the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), a leader in providing curated research data to the behavioral and social science community, have implemented two-way linking between research articles and datasets. Over 400 Elsevier journals will offer direct linking options with datasets in ICPSR. These behavioral and social science datasets become discoverable through corresponding research articles on ScienceDirect.

AAP joins other US creative industries urging the US government for sustained engagement with China and Canada

The Association of American Publishers (AAP) joined with other US creative industries, whose products and services are protected by copyright laws, to ask the US government for sustained engagement with Canada and China, among other markets. The submission by the International Intellectual Property Alliance (IIPA) on behalf of the copyright-based industries was made in response to the 2016 Special 301 inquiry by the U.S. Trade Representative.
