HIMSS16 presentations to highlight role of Wolters Kluwer Clinical Drug Information solution in reducing medication errors, minimising alert fatigue

The Health division of Wolters Kluwer has announced that two presentations during the HIMSS16 Conference & Exhibition will explore the impact of its Clinical Drug Information drug data solution Medi-Span ® on medication errors and alert fatigue. The presentations will showcase how Group Health Cooperative South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) and MetroHealth Systems used the drug data and medication decision support solution to reduce nuisance alerts and physician overrides as well as optimize drug-dose decision support to prevent clinically significant prescribing errors.

International Union of Crystallography launches new open-access data publication, IUCrData

The International Union of Crystallography has announced the launch of a new open-access data publication, IUCrData. This innovative publication aims to provide short descriptions of crystallographic datasets and datasets from related scientific disciplines, as well as facilitating access to the data.

Nominations for PW's 2016 Star Watch now open

Publishers Weekly, in association with the Frankfurt Book Fair, is currently accepting nominations for the PW Star Watch program, now in its second year. The program celebrates up-and-coming members of the U.S. publishing community and offers them recognition on a global stage. The panel of judges include staffers from Publishers Weekly, the Frankfurt Book Fair, and other industry leaders.
