Elsevier to co-publish The Professional Animal Scientist with the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists and FASS Inc.

STM publisher Elsevier has announced that from 2016 it is now the co-publisher of The Professional Animal Scientist, marking a new publishing partnership with the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS), and FASS Inc. In continuous publication since 1985, PAS is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal that is a leading outlet for animal science research.

NPG partners with Saudi Arabia's King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals to launch npj Clean Water journal

Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group has announced a partnership with King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, to launch npj Clean Water, a new open access research journal dedicated to solving the global challenge of ensuring clean water supplies. The journal is currently open for submissions.

MIT Media Lab and MIT Press launch new OA journal - Journal of Design and Science

The MIT Media Lab and the MIT Press have announced the launch of the Journal of Design and Science (JoDS). This online, open-access journal provides a new model for academic publishing by encouraging broad-ranging discourse that challenges traditional academic silos and publishing practices. It will be curated by a team led by MIT Media Lab Director Joi Ito.
