Elsevier unveils 6 new orthopaedic textbooks at 2016 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Conference STM publisher Elsevier has announced that it will launch six new orthopaedic textbooks at this year's American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) conference taking place at the Orange County Convention Center, West Building, Orlando, FL, March 1-5, 2016. Editors from the BMJ and PLOS Open Medicine recently sought to quantify the number of clinical trials in respected, peer-reviewed medical journals that could be classified as 'marketing trials.' While the editors noted the difficulty in determining the true research objective of trials, they endeavoured to classify characteristics of trials which appeared to be marketing oriented.
