The American Journal of Nursing (AJN) has announced the 2016 winners of its annual Book of the Year Awards. Winners in 19 categories appear in the journal's January issue. AJN, the 'leading voice of nursing since 1900,' is published by Wolters Kluwer.

SSCI publishes Taxonomy of Cocrystal Ternary Phase Diagrams in Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data

SSCI, a division of AMRI, has announced the publication of 'Taxonomy of Cocrystal Ternary Phase Diagrams' in the Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, authored by Richard B. McClurg, research fellow at SSCI. The publication follows the Lunch and Learn series hosted by SSCI in November and December 2016 that brought together more than 100 industry scientific experts and intellectual property leaders to discuss the implications of the latest FDA guidance on pharmaceutical cocrystals as drug substances.

Preservica selected for Jisc Research Data Shared Service for UK Universities

Preservica, a world leader in digital preservation technology, consulting and research, has announced that its digital preservation platform has been selected to be part of the framework for the pilot phase of the Jisc Research Data Shared Service (RDSS) for UK Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The new shared service, that will integrate the offerings of a number of providers, will allow UK universities and other HEIs to easily deposit data for publication, discovery, safe storage, and long term archiving and preservation.

McKesson Corporation completes acquisition of Rexall Health

Healthcare services and information technology company McKesson Corporation has completed the previously announced acquisition of Rexall Health for $2.9 billion CAD ($2.1 billion USD, or approximately $1.7 billion USD, net of certain estimated purchase price adjustments, proceeds from store divestitures, and tax benefits). This follows the agreement reached with the Competition Bureau of Canada for the acquisition of Rexall Health and approval received under the Investment Canada Act.
