Elsevier and Maclean's work together on Maclean's 2016 University Rankings

STM publisher Elsevier and Maclean's, Canada's only national weekly current affairs magazine, worked together on Maclean's 2016 University Rankings. Elsevier provided data on the research publication output in ten subject areas for a pre-determined list of 60 Canadian Universities; the subject areas include education, nursing, business, and biology.

Wiley acquires CFA® exam content provider, AnalystSuccess.com

Publisher John Wiley and Sons Inc. has announced the acquisition of AnalystSuccess.com and related content from The American College of Financial Services, based in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The acquisition positions Wiley as a market leader in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program. Wiley runs online CFA Exam Review Courses on its Efficient Learning platform.

2015 HathiTrust Board election results announced

The members of HathiTrust have elected three individuals to serve on its Board of Governors beginning January 1, 2016. Anne R. Kenney, Carl A. Kroch Librarian, Cornell University, and Winston Tabb, Sheridan Dean of University Libraries, Johns Hopkins University, will serve three-year terms that end in December 2018. Beth McNeil, Dean of Library Services at Iowa State University, will serve a one-year term.

Auckland Libraries' new mobile app powered by Boopsie

Auckland Libraries – the largest library group in Australasia – has announced the availability of its new customised Auckland Libraries-branded mobile app developed in partnership with Boopsie Inc. More than 12 million patrons of Auckland Libraries can now access the libraries' resources which include more than 100 databases and over 3.5 million items such as physical books, ebooks, and e-audio books, anytime, anywhere from any mobile device.
