Elsevier publishes five new Neuroscience Books and Atlases

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the publication of five new neuroscience books and atlases, including MRI/DTI Atlas of the Rat Brain by George Paxinos, Charles Watson, Evan Calabrese, Alexandra Badea and G. Allan Johnson. The publications will be on display at the upcoming Society for Neuroscience's (SfN) annual meeting, Neuroscience 2015 at Elsevier booth #134, October 17-20.

Palgrave Macmillan titles join SpringerLink and the Springer Book Archives

Palgrave Macmillan and Springer have decided to align their eBook collections, collating all Palgrave Connect eBooks on SpringerLink and adding thousands more to the Springer Book Archives, as a result of the recent combination of Macmillan Science and Education and Springer Science+Business Media to create Springer Nature. Starting with the 2016 collections, all titles that would have been available on Palgrave Connect will be integrated into the Springer eBook collections.

Emerald Group Publishing launches new contribution to the Open Access debate

Academic publisher Emerald Group Publishing is marking International Open Access Week (October 19-25) with the launch of a Special Issue on Open Access (OA) from Online Information Review, with contributions from some of the world's leading experts on the debate. The aim of this Special Issue is to contribute insights, analysis and commentary towards an enhanced understanding of how Open Access 'can be made to work in practice' (Pinfield, 2015, p.604).
