Predatory Journals, AI, and the Fight for Scientific Integrity  
Predatory journals continue to undermine the credibility of scholarly publishing, flooding the ecosystem with titles that bypass rigorous peer review and erode trust in research. The scale of this challenge has outpaced traditional oversight, creating space for artificial intelligence to act as a valuable ally. AI can scan thousands of journals, detect anomalies in editorial practices, and flag questionable patterns far faster than humans alone. Yet, it is not a cure—judgment and accountability must remain human. The path forward lies in using AI as an early-warning system while reinforcing the role of editors and reviewers.
